Recycling
We are keen on recycling – please recycle what you can. Please put any waste you can’t recycle in the general refuse (see below). There is a recycling centre less than half a kilometer down the road towards Bampton, located at the Memorial Hall. Here you can recycle: Paper, card, aluminium cans, tins and trays, glass bottles and jars, recyclable plastics. |
Food Waste
We have a green Johanna compost bin. You can use this for all your kitchen food waste (see leaflet in blue folder for details). The bin is situated by the small stone outbuilding. Compost bags for the compost bucket can be found under the sink.

Refuse Collection
General household waste should be placed in the blue bags in the dustbin by the front gate.
Collection day is (early) Monday – they arrive at ~7:30am. They will only collect waste in the blue bags.
PUT THE BAG OUT ON SUNDAY EVENING*.
As our entrance road is private, waste is collected at the entrance to the road by the (former) Crown & Mitre Inn
The bin men very kindly throw a replacement bag here too.
Please can you collect it as we are only given a couple of bags.
On departure please put any rubbish in the blue bag in the dustbin.
* If you find the bin empty it is probable that our helpful gardener Arnold will have done this for you.
