The closest of the Wainright fells to Bampton Grange are Wether Hill and Loadpot Hill. There are extensive views across the Eden Valley to the Pennines for the whole of this walk. Haweswater comes into view from around the 489m point which is marked with a cairn. Low Kop is unmarked; a shorter route can be taken from here to Carhullan via The Hause. High Kop is also unmarked. From the broad High Street Ridge, which is followed between High Kop and Loadpot Hill, there are views across the Hellvelyn range and into Ullswater. The 3km of grassy slope between Loadpot Hill and Carhullan are fairly featureless easy walking. From Carhullan follow the track to Bampton.
