Dufton Ghyll (Woodland Trust) - 26/04/2018
Our first visit towards the North Pennines AONB. We parked in the village of Dufton and found both the tea-room and the pub closed. The walk along the gill is linear, there and back. Whilst it was pleasant enough, it had little to offer in the way of wildlife (at the end of April at least). There was evidence that an abundant display of bluebells would be on offer in May.
