Naddle Bridge - Rosgill - 29/11/2021; 7km
This route can be done in either direction. We followed the road to Burnbanks. Ignore the first footpath head east from Burnbanks (marked with an X), and take the stile ~50m further on to cross Haweswater Beck and then follow the path on its south side. The footpath to Rawhead is fairly well marked and follows the Coast to Coast route. Once across the River Lowther take the minor road to Hegdale and then back to Bampton Grange along the NE side of the river. There is a small honesty box "shop" selling gift cards at Hegdale (marked B).
As you can see from the pictures we did this in the first snows of the season. We found Red Squirrel along the road to Burnbanks, Dippers in both streams and Roe Deer in the fields between Naddle Bridge and Rawhead.
